It's now generally accepted that tactical slings should be mounted on the side of the weapon. In addition to being side mounted, more and more operators require the Sling Mount to provide the Quick Detach option. GG&G designed, tested and currently manufactures both the front and rear AR-15 QD Sling Adapters that fill this specific mission requirement.

- A lightweight and versatile way of attaching your sling to an AR-15/M16 front Mil-Spec A-Frame sight.
- Although lightweight, the front GG&G QD Sling Thing Sling Mount provides a robust and rigid front sling mount.
- Ambidextrous.
- The QD swivel socket has limited rotation to prevent sling wrap-up.
- Side mounted position helps to prevent “rifle roll” away from the operator’s body when slung.
- Utilizes a rugged GG&G Enhanced Heavy Duty 1 ¼-inch quick detach sling swivel with proprietary tactile enhancement ridges. The GG&G QD Sling Swivel provides a large QD button that provides quick and easy transition. All GG&G QD Sling Swivels are bead blasted and manganese phosphated in a non-reflective matte black mil-spec finish.
