The Special Purpose Rifle (SPR) has gained in popularity with shooters in the civilian and law enforcement community. Our technical advisors advised us that the scope most often used on SPR rifles is a 30mm low powered variable optic placed forward on the AR-15/M16 flattop receiver. To meet the specific optic mounting needs of the SPR shooters, we have introduced our new FLT Scope Mount With 30mm Integral Rings.
 

The FLT Bolt On Scope Base is a semi-permanent bolt on installation, using a standard squeeze rail configuration side bar and two 1/2" hex nuts. The FLT Scope Base provides forward mounting of the scope with 30mm integral rings. For comparative purposes the SPR Scope Mount places the scope forward 1.5 inches more than the GG&G AC-30 Scope Mount. The FLT Scope Base is lightweight weighing in at only 5.5 ounces, and is 5 inches long. It is low profile too allowing excellent cheek weld when mounting the scope to the AR-15/M16 flattop upper receiver. The height from the centerline of the 30mm integral rings to the top of the dovetail mounting platform is 1.460 inches. The center to center dimension of the rings is 3.750 inches. It is manufactured from 6061 T6 aluminum and Type III hard anodized matte black to mil-spec.
