The Pendulum Knife

After receiving countless calls over the last year and a half we have decided to begin manufacturing the Pendulum again. Deliveries to customers should begin during the first week of July.

The design and development of the Pendulum fighting knife by Chris Caracci occured over many years. It is an outgrowth of his years of experience as a Navy Seal, police officer and tactical trainer. His practical experience in real world combat situations, influenced the unique but devastatingly useful design of the Pendulum knife. Influenced by the belief that a knife is one of the most fundamental defensive tools in existence, Chris decided that whatever the final design, it had to have the convenience and concealability of a folder. As the design moved forward, Chris designed the unique pendulum shaped blade to offer an efficient cutting edge geometry that would make a great defensive fighting blade and make it difficult for the assailant to reach the defenders wrist or arm. The 3 1/4 inches of stainless steel cutting edge definitely will get the job done.

Chris felt that if this was to be an innovative defensive knife, the design of the grip of the Pendulum must facilitate the user being able to hold onto the Pendulum and maintain a strong grip during a life threatening confrontation--even when the hands are wet with perspiration or other fluids. The ergonomic design of the grip not only facilitates a strong grip, but it also allows a fantastic amount of energy to be focused through the arm, down the wrist and through the blade to the opponent. When one takes into account the synergy between the pendulum blade design and the grip design, it is easy to see that it would be extremely difficult to take the Pendulum fighting knife away from a defender. Especially without the attacker suffering serious injury.

Along that line of thinking, consider the unique shape of the Pendulum when folded. When gripped in the folded configuaration, the butt of the knife provides an excellent impact weapon, an option that might be considered prior to using deadly force.

It is very important to note that Chris did not set out to develop an edged weapon for assassins or sentry removal. The intent was to create an effective defensive tool that when folded and clipped to the inside of the pocket or behind a belt buckle, it would not telegraph the serious capability of this special defensive weapon.
