 Aimpoint CompM4 Technical Specifications:
The Aimpoint CompM4 is the latest version of the US Army's M68 CCO (Close Combat Optic). It was specifically designed for demanding military and law enforcement applications under all light conditions. Improvements include improved energy efficiency that provides up to 8 years of continious use from a single AA battery!The aiming dot size of the Aimpoint M4 is 2 MOA. The bottom of the optic is configured so that a mounting base, such as the GG&G Aimpoint M4 QD Mount Base can be used without the need for a ring.
The Aimpoint CompM4 is available in two models: The Comp4 provides a high battery position and the CompM4S provides a low battery position. Other than the battery locations, the units are identical in performance.
The CompM4 sight holds up under the roughest physical handling and can withstand the most severe weather conditions and temperatures. In fact the Comp M4 is completely submersible and will withstand pressures over 2.5 atmospheres allowing it to be taken up to 150 feet underwater.
Aimpoint's unique band-pass coating on the front of the lens reflects select frequencies of red light at near 100% efficiency in order to give the highest possible red dot brighteness with the smallest amount of energy while transmitting nearly 100% of light in the infrared and near infrared part of the spectrum to provide the clearest, brightest image possible when used with 3rd generation NVD. With 7 NVD-compatible brightness settings and 9 daylight settings including one extra bright setting, the COMPM4 is ready for use around the clock.
It is important to note that when purchasing just the Aimpoint CompM4 GGG-1221, it does not include a factory mount. GG&G only stocks the Aimpoint Comp M4 without the factory mount. |

There is little doubt that this is a rugged optic, however if by chance it should fail, by using the Accucam the end user can quickly remove it and deploy the weapons back up iron sights, or quickly change to another optic. The unique Accucam cam design is fully adjustable to fit both Weaver and MIL-STD-1913 dovetails, and allows you to adjust the tension to accommodate out-of-spec or worn dovetails. In tests, the Accucam Locking Lever System has shown to be repeatable to 1/2 MOA. The unique finger loop design is easily operated, even with a gloved hand and the rounded design is ergonomic and virtually snag-proof. The GG&G Aimpoint CompM4 Accucam Quick Detach Mounting Base is manufactured from solid billet 6061 T6 aluminum alloy and Type III hard-coat anodized matte black to meet mil-spec. The Accucam mechanism is manufactured from solid billet 4140 steel and manganese phosphated matte black to mil-spec.
